Eskom Expo For Young Scientists

The annual Eskom Expo meeting for young scientists was held for the first time this year at the new Multipurpose Center in Saldanha. Seven of our learners competed in the West Coast region and did an excellent job. The following learners have been selected to represent the West Coast region at the international competition during the September holidays in Boksburg: Hannah du Toit and Sinalo Ndeleni (Grade 10) - Receive a silver award at the national event for their Future Backwash project.

Shana van Wyk (Grade 11) - Receives a bronze award at the national event for her project "Alert, Alert Safety First!"

It is a great achievement for our school that three learners have been selected to advance to the next round.

Nickilese van der Walt (Grade 11) participated in the National Science competition presented by iMBEWU (an institution that wants to promote young scientists). She won a gold award for her project "To Infinity and Beyond: a theory to suggest that the universe is infinitely small".
